John Clayton Art Workshop in Provence

October 5 – 13, 2024

After the summer crowds have gone we will have this glorious area of France to ourselves. Stay in Avignon in a centrally-located charming hotel that is a converted monastery.

Avignon has delightful squares and gardens, the Palais des Popes, a World Heritage Site, and the famous Pont de Avignon.

Paint the Abbey de Senaque in Gordes, the village of Roussillon with the varied shades of burnt siena and yellow ochre, or Fontaine de Vaucluse with turquoise water and source of the river Sorgue with an old-fashioned watermill. Then there’s Arles with Roman ruins and Van Gogh’s “Starry Night Cafe”.

For the non-artists there are plenty of activities: sight seeing, cooking classes, spas, golf, tennis, and the wonderful French cuisine to enjoy!

$2,150 per person

Prices are land only (airfare not included) and based on double occupancy. Single occupancy is available for an additional fee. There are a limited number of single rooms, so please inquire.
